Chet something at ~33:00 that made me think of something I've wanted for a long time; Being able to easily state a "Baseline" for Roslyn Analyzers. I would love for it to be possible to say "From now on, I do not accept any new Analyzer violations, but existing code gets a pass". Say you work on a brownfield project and you want to enable analyzers. You either have to disable practically all of them, rewrite a ton of code, or otherwise spend a lot of time creating various glob patterns to define a subset of files that are ok to violate the rules (temporarily, until they're fixed over time).

Quite a few of the recent videos have bad syncing of volume levels between the host and the guest, for in example this video the guest Chet is 7 dB louder than the host Kathleen.

37:13 Definitely need to see some code to understand this conclusion! A record has built-in implementations of things (like the Equals method) that foreach never needs to call. So if you declare a "record struct" then it should be just like a struct (value type) and if you declare a "record class" (where the class keyword is optional) then it should be just like a class (reference type).

30:52 Assuming it's a standard dictionary, the reason the for version is slow is because it's O(N^2). ElementAt is an extension on IEnumerable<T>. If the target object supports IList<T> then it can use the indexer to look up the item by position, but the Keys collection of a dictionary is not an IList. So ElementAt has to fall back to doing its own loop, to step through an enumerator to find the item at the specified index. So this is actually a loop within a loop. If the dictionary has a million items, then toward the end of the outer loop, the ElementAt call is doing nearly a million iterations _each time_. Also each time you access Keys the dictionary allocates a fresh object, and then ElementAt then allocates an enumerator from that.

Is there any way to make the projects Aspire agnostic? I don't like the explicit call to builder.AddServiceDefaults in program.cs nor the nugets. I already have all the configuration in place. I just want to define the containers with their dependencies exactly as I was doing with docker compose.

These benchmark claims seem dubious given that there is no clear link to the benchmark source code. If I can't see the implementation and reproduce the results, then I don't even know what we're talking about. There is a link in the notes to "Spargine", but no obvious link to the benchmarks themselves. I'm not interested in spelunking your website to find them. I'm going to have to give this one a thumbs down.
